Signature Clothing supports MaiWel Charity Debate July 2010

At the annual MaiWel Charity "Great Debate" which this year featured the celebrities Effie (Wogs out of Work), Aaron Kearney (ABC Radio 1233) & Melinda Smith (NBN News) vs local identities Judy Mitchell, Leigh Maughan & the ABC's Brian Doyle arguing the toss over 'Baby Boomers' Trash or Treasure.
Signature Clothing donated $1600 to win the main auction item, the perpetual trophy, kindly donated by Tony Cant Real Estate who also provided the great auctioneer, Peter Hogan.
Signature Clothing have been the uniform supplier to MaiWel for over 10 years & it was a pleasure to be able to return some help with the donation.

Sad for us but joy for Helen.
After over 10 years as the backbone of our embroidery operation Helen has decided to spend more time on her golf swing & racked the cue for the last time before Easter 2010.
We wish her all the best with her new found freedom & look forward to catching up on her new adventures from time to time.

Signature Clothing Corporate Wear & our Hard Yakka Trade Centre finally opened the doors in our Great New Showroom & Factory in September 2009.
It has brought the 2 clothing businesses and our award winning embroidery operation together under the one roof for the first time.
We look forward to welcoming all our existing & future clients into this world class facility that we have benchmarked in Feburary 2009 against the best European operations to ensure we were once again leading the market in how uniforms were presented & matched to our clients needs.

Continuing our great association with Hard Yakka, Denise Betteridge of Signature Clothing & husband Arne were once again treated to a great night of football & fun with Michael Ricketts, General Manager of Hard Yakka, together with David Collis from Yakka Newcastle & Partners .
Michael, a St. George diehard & Arne, a Knights tragic traded blows for most of the exciting match which resulted in a rare win at Kogarah to the Knights in a nail biting finish.

Signature Clothing Managing Director Denise Betteridge travelled to Paris & London in February 2009 to visit some exciting new suppliers & attended several Fashion Shows & Pret a Porter Workshops.
I Benchmarked our concept for the new Corporate Clothing Showroom here in Australia against some of the best in Europe to ensure I created a world class facility due to open in September 2009

Signature Clothing PL is excited about our move to the brand new Showroom & Trade Centre in 2009.
Included in this move is the establishment of our New Hard Yakka WorkWear Trade Centre in partnership with Hard Yakka & Visitec Workwear.
The new business is to be called The Shed WorkWear and will set a new benchmark for quality & value.

Signature Clothing supports the Maitland Family Support Scheme Inc.
At the launch cocktail party an auction was held for the first book of tickets & Signature Clothing was thrilled to be able to donate over $1000 to kick off the issue of tickets for this valuable community support initiative.
The Family Support Scheme provides shelter, councelling & wide support to the families of our community when they most need help in times of stress & abuse.
The Art Union is to raise much needed funds to provide a vehicle capable of transporting a whole family when support is needed.

The prizes included a Toyota Yaris motor vehicle registered on the road, a $10,000 Harvey World Travel voucher & a $5,000 Greater Building Society account.
